To WNC FallBall Volunteers and Coaches |
This message was received from a former coach in the Varsity Wooden Bat League. Thought you might be interested in the impact your work has!
"I just wanted to keep you up to date with some of our kids, thought you might be interested. Off of our 2007 fall roster (Swain County), we have 10 kids that will be attending various colleges this year to play baseball. Among those:
Chris White(LHP), Tyler Shuler (C), Brad Roland (P/3B), Daniel Helton (2B): Blue Ridge CC
Ben Pacey (SS): Brevard
Josh Allman (LHP): Tennessee
Kendrick McDonald (P), Blake Roberts (P/IF): Young Harris
Zane Bennett (P): Southern Wesleyan
William Henderson (2009 HS Graduate, OF): UNC Greensboro Commitment, Attending Fall of 2009
These kids and myself owe a great amount of gratitude to you and the other's involved with WNC Fall Ball for giving us an opportunity to play during the fall and better our skills, along with giving coaches a chance to see these young men play.
It is my honest opinion that without WNC Fall Ball the kids's development would not have been possible, and these young men are a testament to the positive influences that this league had.
Thanks again for everything and please say hello to everyone."
Many Thanks to those who make a difference!
